BK Stancil is a freelance writer and videographer with an avid love for cycling and a passion for communicating that love to others through storytelling and visual media. Using his outside-the-box imagination and unique ability to capture the emotion of a story in a way that resonates with a variety of readers, BK brings clear and invaluable communication skills to everything he does. In particular, BK hopes to broaden the audience of cycling industry experts and businesses by distilling the complex jargon of mountain biking into narratives that captivate everyone from experienced bikers to those just discovering the sport.
From 2018 to 2020, BK was a lead writer of Averett University’s Chanticleer Student Newspaper. In 2020 he graduated from Averett with a BA in Communications, with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in Business Administration.
BK moved to Bellingham, Washington in 2021 to immerse himself in the outdoor cycling community and industry.
